1st Day
Departure with a luxury bus from Athens at 07.30 am for the city of Ioannina, via Rion- Antirrion.  During our route, we will stop for coffee and relax. As we approach Ioannina, we will visit the exceptional Vrellis museum with waxwork heroes of the Greek revolution of 1821. We then head to our hotel to settle in. The afternoon at leisure to stroll through the town and to dine at one of the taverns of Paralimnio or the old town.
2nd Day
Buffet breakfast and departure at 10.30 to see the fantastic landscapes of Western Zagoria. We will go through Arísti, where the arched bridge of river Voidomatis is, Vikos and to admire the Vikos Gorge, the deepest in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records. The view is breathtaking. We will then walk to the entrance of the monastery of Aghia Paraskevi, which was built in 1412. A visit to the Mikro and Megalo Papigko is next, at an altitude of 900 meters, where we will have the opportunity to shop local products and try traditional flavors. We will return to our hotel late in the afternoon. You can make a shopping tour of the city which has nothing to envy from Athens or have a coffee at one of the small cafes. At night there are countless options for entertainment of all kinds.
3rd Day
Breakfast buffet at the hotel and departure at 10:30 to explore the famous villages of Central Zagoria. Kipi, Kapesovo, Elati and many other picturesque villages are on our way to visit and get a taste of tradition. We will end up in Tsepelovo, one of the most beautiful villages of Greece, the hometown of the famous greek actress Marika Kotopouli, where we will stop for lunch. The district of Epirus is famous for its' pies so do not forget to try one! Return to the city in the afternoon. Free time for shopping, a walk in the cobbled streets or for a coffee. We recommend the excellent cafe "Filistron" within the castle, which serves only traditional beverages and sweets. For your night out, the city offers endless options in bars and clubs, since it is a university town that never sleeps.
4th Day
Breakfast at the hotel and an opportunity for city tour. You will see the tomb of Ali Pasha, the town clock, the beautiful castle with its' stone alleys, the acropolis of Its Kale and the mosque of Aslan Pasha. You will definitely be enchanted by the Kastropoliteia (the small town inside the castle), which seems to have come from another era. Optional excursion to Theogefyro, a magnificent location with lush nature just outside the municipality of Zitsa. River Kalamas passes between the tall trees and the rocks, creating a stunning landscape of rare beauty. We can walk or have a coffee in the mill of Achilles, a cafe - restaurant right next to the river, the old mill wheel still spinning. Upon our return to the city, anyone interested can visit the island inside the lake Pamvotis and see the museum of Ali Pasha, still demostrating the holes from bullets who put him to death. The rest of the day at your leisure. For dinner, we recommend Stoa Louli, which was built in 1875 and originally operated as an inn. Depending on the day, we may have the opportunity to enjoy live music played by local musicians.
5th Day
Breakfast and departure for Athens via Metsovo. We will stop for about two hours in this magnificent site, and we will have time for coffee or visit the Tositsa Gallery and the church of Agia Paraskevi. Small shops around the square sell traditional pasta and other products that are worth buying to remember this special trip. We will reach Athens through the new Egnatia highway, after a short stop for coffee and snacks.
